 |Welcome to Sri Ramakrishna Vidhyarthi Mandiram web site

Seeking to give expression to Swami Vivekananda ideal of Man-making education, the Ramakrishna Vidyarthi Mandiram was started in 1943. It is a modern students home in the setting of an ancient Brahmacharya Ashrama. The aim of the Mandiram is to supplement the academic education of the university, by imparting a training conducive to an all round growth of the students. The objective is to provide a suitable Home for deserving boys outside Bangalore and desiring to profit by the care and guidance of the Mandiram.

The distinguishing features of the Mandiram are : an entirely non-communal and non-political outlook and atmosphere ; facilities provided for building up the character and spiritual life of its inmates under the guidance of a Swami of the Ramakrishna Order ; special stress on physical culture and games ;  encouragement and opportunities for the development of individual talents, and monetary help to poor but deserving students.

The schedule of the SHIVARATHRI festival is as follows:20th Feb, 2012

6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.  : Yaama 1

9:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. : Yaama 2

12:00 a.m.- 3:00 a.m.  : Yaama 3

3:00 a.m. - 6:00 a.m.  : Yaama 4

6:30 a.m.              : Prasadam

Bhajans and pooja will be conducted in every Yaama.  

Students and devotees will offer 3 bilvas each at the end of 4th Yaama

Note:

1.After each Yaama fruit juices will be served.

2.After Yaama 4, we will be going to the Gavi Gangadhareshwara Temple. 

3.Please request your friends (Old Boys) also to attend the pooja.
